I Love Lamp Awards and other randomness

Ok no one got 1000 points for the I Love Lamp Tshirt. It's from the movie Anchorman. It may disappoint some of you to know that I found that movie absolutely over the top and hilarious. You may have thought I have more class than that, but you would be mistaken. One person emailed me but she doesn't get any points because I've forced her to watch Anchorman with me before and she's witnessed that I have nearly wet my pants laughing at Brick.

The I Love Lamp Scene is in there a little over half way through but some of the other lines are so funny I chose that clip to give you a good "feel" for his character.



I also wanted to give a shout out to Little David since I don't seem to have your email. Mr. Sam is not yet walking, but he gets around the living room hanging on to things and crawls like a maniac. He especially enjoys standing at a table or couch "reading" his books and talking to himself in his own made up language. It's so cute!

Shady Characters

It was Comedy Central around here yesterday as I discovered that Sam thinks it's hilarious when I put the shades up or down.

So I did that for about 20 minutes... anything to make him laugh!

Sam's a Creeper now. But he doesn't creep me out. He has been scooting backward for some time but today started creeping forward more than just a little skootch.

My lazy days are over. He'll be crawling any minute now. I feel happy for him, but a little scared for me! haha

Speaking of Creeping, (which we were) This last year definitely did NOT creep by. I would say the only time that crept for me was the time between having the C-Section and getting to hold Sam. That felt like days, even though it was only hours. AFter that, time just has flown right on by!

Fa La La La Boing

It's that time of year again!
I would like to direct your attention again this year to the Angels We Have Heard Are High.
Fun-ny!!

Sam has forgotten how to get through the night without eating again. And is pushing through 2 MORE teeth.... so it's been some rough sleeping around here, since I simply REFUSE to give him a bottle between the hours of 11PM and 6AM. However, this morning after him crying every half hour or so I caved and fed him a little after five. grrr. He was the sweetest boy ever today though... so even though we were both light on sleep we had a great day. Tonight at dinner it felt like I could not cram enough food into the boy he just kept wanting more and more... and he ate a lot at other meals/snacks...so I'm hopeful he'll stay full! Please God Please...

Today I wrapped one of his Christmas present right in front of him, which I found completely hilarious. It's a ball that makes a huge electronic boing! boioioing! when you bump it or drop it. It's a great sound! So he was very interested in the process. I was laughing so hard, because it will be all brand new again on Christmas morning! How fun is that?

Oh, and Mocha the black kitty discovered how to turn on Sam's little Fisher Price Aquarium thingy. She finds it extremely entertaining, which is logical since I think she and Sam are at the same intellectual level at least for now. She sat in front of that thing for hours this morning. When it would stop she'd push the blue button and start it up again. Then sit and watch the bubbles and the "fish" and occasionally paw at it. Thank Heaven for rechargeable batteries. She hasn't done it since, so who knows. Maybe she forgot how.
